Day of Giving
Day of Giving is an annual, day-long fundraising event that generates support for research programs, student and faculty awards, scientific outreach and so much more. Through friendly competition and gamification, our sciences community experiences the magnitude of coming together to reach philanthropic goals.

Give Through Payroll Deduction
NC State faculty and staff can make a monthly contribution to NC State to the area of their choice via payroll deduction. Visit the NC State Employee Payroll Deduction Portal to start a new deduction or manage your existing deduction. Payroll deduction can also be managed via paper form.
Matching Gifts
Many companies and foundations will double or even triple the value of charitable gifts made by employees and their spouses, board members and retirees. Find out if your employer will match your gift today.
Scholarships and Named Endowments
Scholarships and named endowments are invested for the long term and provide a permanent source of funding for a specific purpose outlined by the donor. Endowed funds can be established through outright or planned gifts, pledges, stock transfers, IRA distributions, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts and donor advised funds.
Endowed funds can provide support for a variety of initiatives including undergraduate scholarships, graduate fellowships, professorships, field camps, faculty awards, research and much more.

Legacy Gifts
Legacy gifts play a vital role in securing the future of the college. Types of support include a beneficiary designation in a donor’s will, trust or retirement plan.

Dean’s Circle
The Dean’s Circle is the leadership giving society of the College of Sciences. It was created to encourage unrestricted annual gifts of $1,000 or more to the eligible funds listed below.
Dean’s Circle donors are also members of the Chancellor’s Circle and receive invitations to VIP opportunities with the dean and college leadership.

Naming Opportunities
NC State’s Board of Trustees has approved a naming rights policy that provides opportunities for both corporations and individuals to help support the academic and research mission of the department through major gift support.
