Physics students

More than 130 college and departmental scholarships are available to students in the College of Sciences. Eligibility may depend on academic merit and/or financial need.

The 2020-21 College of Sciences scholarship application opens via Pack Assist on Dec. 1, 2019, for returning students. Current undergraduate students must apply to be considered for a college or departmental scholarship and must reapply to continue receiving their scholarship.

Scholarships and Financial Aid Deadlines

Oct. 1, 2021: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens

Dec. 1, 2021: College of Sciences scholarship application opens for continuing students

Late January 2022 (Admissions Decision Notification): Pack Assist and College of Sciences scholarship application opens for admitted students

Feb. 15, 2022: University and college priority scholarship application deadline for admitted and returning students

March 1, 2022: Deadline to submit FAFSA (submit early for optimal scholarship consideration)

Mid-March 2022: College of Sciences scholarship offers disbursed

The Solomon Scholars Program

The Daniel L. Solomon Scholars Program is the signature undergraduate scholarship program of the College of Sciences. It is named for the college’s inaugural dean, Daniel L. Solomon, who retired in 2015 after more than 30 years of forward-thinking leadership at NC State.
