Within the College of Sciences Research Office, we are pleased to have Dr. Ann Zhang as our Assistant Director of Research Development. Ann can assist you will with all parts of your proposal development including; Editing and providing feedback on the technical narrative, Interpreting FOAs, Developing your budget and budget justification, and Non-technical document writing assistance. In addition to College of Sciences support, you may also qualify for assistance from the Proposal Development Unit (PDU).
The Proposal Development Unit (PDU) supports faculty teams by improving proposal competitiveness of large-scale, interdisciplinary research proposals. These services include strategy consultation and ideation, team facilitation and review, non-technical writing and graphics support, budgeting, editing, formatting and proposal preparation — enabling investigators to concentrate on the research-related aspects of their proposals. PDU support is available to NC State faculty who are planning proposals with estimated total budgets of at least $1 million.
