Wildfire Smoke May Have Amplified Arctic Phytoplankton Bloom

Research by Douglas Hamilton, assistant professor of marine, earth and atmospheric sciences, found that smoke from a Siberian wildfire may have transported enough nitrogen to parts of the Arctic Ocean to amplify a phytoplankton bloom.
