NC State welcomed its largest incoming class in history this fall with 6,399 first-year and transfer students enrolled. About 12%, or 774, of those students are now a part of the College of Sciences.

Out-of-State Representation

16% of our new students are from out-of-state and hail from 21 U.S. states. The top five states represented:

  • Virginia (18 students)
  • New York (16 students)
  • Maryland (13 students)
  • Pennsylvania (13 students)
  • South Carolina (9 students)
