NOAA Predicts up to 17 Named Storms, up to 4 Major Hurricanes This Hurricane Season

North Carolina State University revealed its forecast on April 12, predicting as many as eight hurricanes in the Atlantic basin this hurricane season. NC State forecasters believe there will be 11 to 15 named storms, six to eight hurricanes and two to three major hurricanes.
