With the opening of the newly renovated Natural Resources Library (NRL) this year, the campus community can now take advantage of new study and lounge spaces.

Located inside Jordan Hall, the NRL is designed to provide instructional and research support for students, faculty and staff from the College of Sciences’ Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (MEAS) and the College of Natural Resources (CNR).

Take a look around the revamped space.

A Conscious Design

The renovated library boasts a collection of about 1,900 books, with book stacks consolidated to one area to leave more room for seating and better lighting. To maximize the space in the NRL, lesser-used collections have been moved to the Hunt Library bookBot.

An Inviting Space

With a nature-inspired color palette, a help desk, and open lounge and study areas, the library offers an inviting space for individual study and collaboration.

A New Coffee Spot

Visitors of the NRL can also grab food and coffee at the library’s Elements Café. Named to capture the spirit of MEAS and CNR, the café serves Caribou Coffee.
