Gavin Conant, professor of biological sciences, co-taught a two-week bioinformatics short course in July at University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland.
The course was hosted by Mark Crowe of the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine and included Ph.D. students and researchers from Ireland and other locations in Europe. Co-teaching the course with Conant was Gavin Douglas, a former postdoc at NC State who is now at the University of New Brunswick in Canada.
