With finals underway and graduation approaching, we’re taking a look back at some of the college’s highlights from the spring semester.
We Showed Out for the Wolfpack
On this year’s Day of Giving, students, staff, faculty, alumni and friends showed their support for the college, making 835 gifts — a new record — totaling $857,621.

On April 14, we returned the love at our annual Donor Recognition event, where students spoke about the impact that donors’ gifts have made on their Sciences journey.
We Shone in the Spotlight
The NC State women’s basketball team advanced to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight this year for the first time since 1998 — and statistics major Billy Fryer was with them every step of the way.
ByteSize Learning — the startup co-founded by statistics and computer engineering double major Ayden Hochstein — won third place in the “Student Awards: ‘Do’” category at the 2022 eGames, NC State’s largest annual startup competition.
ByteSize Learning has developed engaging courses for elementary through high school students.

We Celebrated Diversity in the Sciences
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and the general public came together for the third Diversity in STEM Symposium to explore this year’s theme, “Your Role in Inclusion.”

We Addressed the State of the Sciences
At the college’s annual State of the Sciences event, Eric Dorfman, director of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, addressed the importance of the science and art communities coming together to raise awareness about the environment.

We Let the Dogs Out
Dogs are descended from wolves and judging from these photos, there’s no denying the bond between the two. The Wolfpack indulged in dog therapy at a college-hosted Puppy Love event to relax and destress before final exams.

We PACKed in Some Fun
Our students joined in on the fun at this year’s Wolfstock, an all-day festival and concert. They enjoyed food, won prizes and jammed out to a performance by The Backseat Lovers.

The college pulled out all the stops to provide students with some sweet treats on LDOC, including funnel cake and Pelican’s SnoBalls.
