Serves as chief administrator for the College of Sciences Research Office and is the principal administrative representative on all research matters for the college. Oversees the pre-award staff members who handle proposal processing for the college and the post-award staff members who work directly with faculty in the accounting and financial management of their grants. The associate dean also has responsibilities for space coordination and major construction projects.

Oversees conflict-of-interest management, cost share and effort reporting, subcontract monitoring, sponsor reporting and compliance management, and development and delivery of training for both pre-award and post-award services.

Responsible for developing and implementing strategic activities designed to grow the research portfolio of the College of Sciences and enhance the ability of our faculty to attract extramural support. Areas of expertise include proposal development, training and mentoring in grant writing, and overall portfolio management.
