Serves as chief administrator for the College of Sciences Research Office and is the principal administrative representative on all research matters for the college. Oversees the pre-award staff members who handle proposal processing for the college and the post-award staff members who work directly with faculty in the accounting and financial management of their grants. The associate dean also has responsibilities for space coordination and major construction projects.

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for the financial management of grant accounts for the Research Centers associated with the College of Sciences including the Center for Research in Scientific Computation (CRSC), The Science House, the Bioinformatics Research Center (BRC), and the State Climate Office (SCO). Also responsible for the setup, maintenance, and review of all Time and Effort reporting. Helps to manage COI/NOI, systems (RED), and delivers training for faculty and staff.
