Brickyard 50th Birthday Celebration

Block S on the NC State BrickyardJoin the Alumni Association and NCSU Libraries as we wish the Brickyard a happy 50th birthday. It will be a fun morning for the entire family. You’ll hear from Daniel Howe ’85, a professor in the College of Design and the author of a recent article celebrating the Brickyard in NC State magazine. Dick Bell ’50, the man who designed the Brickyard, will also be on hand as a special guest.

The event will include family-friendly activities, performances and talks, including Matthew Green from the Department of Physics explaining the science behind the “Wolf Ears.” NCSU Libraries will also be serving complimentary Howling Cow ice cream.

We will also collect donations for disaster relief efforts to support the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. The most needed items are listed here. Drop off your donations on the Brickyard near the entrance to D.H. Hill Library during the event.

Registration
The event is open to all. Register through the Alumni Association to receive birthday cake and other giveaways. Tickets are $5 for Alumni Association members and $10 for nonmembers. Children 12 and under are free.
